MaxX Access Send a shipment

Everything you need before the first box.

If something is not answered here, email info@getmaxxaccess.com or call 813-586-0786 and ask.

Getting started

Four steps to your first shipment.

1

Prepare your items

Gather books, CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, video games and audiobooks. Keep any discs that need resurfacing separate, ideally in their own box.

2

Put your details in the box

Your name, your contact information and how you want to be paid. This is how we match a box to a person.

3

Ship it

MaxX Multi Media LLC, 5266 State Road 54, New Port Richey, FL 34652. PirateShip has good rates. Ask us about freight for larger loads.

4

Tell us it is coming

Email, or call 813-586-0786. If a box loses its paperwork we can still trace it back to you. No box should ever go unaccounted for.

Questions

The details.

How does the consignment work?

You mail us the items you are gated out of. We list and sell them on Amazon FBA under our account, and split the net profit fifty-fifty after fees, inbound shipping and the incidental costs of getting an item sold.

It is a way to monetise inventory you are otherwise barred from selling.

What do you accept?
  • Books
  • CDs
  • DVDs and Blu-rays
  • Cassette tapes
  • Video games
  • Audiobooks on CD

Not accepted:

  • Vinyl records or VHS
  • Reprinted DVD or CD artwork. Original artwork in a replacement case is fine
  • Counterfeit or unauthorized reproductions
  • Anything prohibited by Amazon FBA policy
Do you do eBay consignment?

No. Amazon FBA only.

Our whole advantage is the ungating on our Amazon account, and that is where your items sell. We do not list on eBay, and we cannot take a shipment on the understanding it will go there.

If you already run an eBay store, the two usually complement each other rather than compete. Different buyers, different titles. Send us the gated stock you cannot list on Amazon and keep the rest for your own channel.

Check these three things before you pack

These cost our team more time than anything else, and all three are easy to catch while the case is still in your hand.

  • Missing discs. An empty case looks fine on the shelf and is worth nothing to us.
  • Mixed up discs. The wrong disc in the wrong case. We only find it at prep, and without the matching case there is nothing we can do with it.
  • Water damage, meaning clear staining on the artwork. If something got damp and dried without marking the art, that is fine. Visible staining is not.

We will also decline cracked discs and anything with mould.

Surface scratches are welcome. We resurface those at our own cost. Just keep them separate from the rest, ideally in their own box, so our team knows to run them through.

Who covers shipping?

You cover shipping to us. Use zip code 34652 for estimates.

You will get the best return by sending 20 or more items at once rather than a trickle of small parcels.

Is there a limit on box size or weight?

No. There are no box limits. Pack them as heavy and as large as your carrier will take.

Send one box or forty. There is no minimum and no ceiling.

Can you handle pallets, gaylords and freight?

Yes. We have a loading dock, so pallets, gaylords and LTL freight are all fine.

If you are clearing a storage unit, closing a shop, or sitting on a bulk lot you cannot list, get in touch before you book anything. We will help you work out the cheapest way to move it.

Email info@getmaxxaccess.com or call 813-586-0786.

What pricing should I expect?

A typical floor is $9.99 for discs and higher for books, with a minimum profit of $3 per item. Below that an item is not worth the handling for either of us.

Our software gives a deliberately conservative estimate. In practice items often sell for more than it predicts, because the right buyer decides what a scarce title is worth.

How do I get paid?

PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or Cash App, whichever you prefer. Tell us in the box or on the contact form.

No cash payouts.

How are sales tracked?

Every item is given its own SKU under your name, so nothing gets mixed with another consignor's stock.

Sales are compiled in a spreadsheet and emailed every Monday, with all fees shown in the calculation. A full breakdown is available whenever you ask for it.

How long does it take?

Roughly two weeks for your items to reach the FBA warehouse and go live.

Then about two to three weeks after a sale for funds to clear. Payout follows once the money reaches our account.

My discs are scratched. Do you resurface?

Yes. We repair discs on an ELM Eco Master, so you can skip the do-it-yourself route entirely.

Keep anything that needs resurfacing separate from the rest of the shipment, ideally in its own box. There is no fee on discs that do not sell.

What happens if an item is returned?

You do not lose money once an item has sold and you have been paid. We carry the return risk.

What happens to items that do not sell?

Unsold inventory is held for one year. After that it is either liquidated or disposed of, or returned to you if you would rather have it back and cover the shipping.

Do you use a repricer?

Yes, and a good one. Your items track the live market rather than sitting at a stale price nobody will pay.

Which brands are you ungated in?

Sony, Disney, FOX, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Lionsgate, Nickelodeon, WWE, Scholastic, Hallmark, Marvel, DC Comics, National Geographic, American Girl, Universal, Chronicle Books, PlayStation, Microsoft, Star Wars, Fisher-Price and more.

Rather than guess, run your barcodes through the Gate Checker. It will tell you item by item.

Anything else worth knowing?

Earnings depend on market demand, competition and the condition of what you send. We will always tell you honestly if something is not worth shipping.

Ready to send your first box?

Tell us it is on the way and we will watch for it. Or run your barcodes first if you want to know what will sell.
